You all know how much I love green juices and this ‘Booster Juice’ is just goodness in a glass! I’ve always loved having steamed broccoli dressed with olive oil, himalayan rock salt and pepper as a snack. I used to throw away the stalk or use it in soups as I didn’t really know what to do with it. Well these days I know that you can pretty much use all of any fruit/veg and broccoli is the perfect example as the stalk has a strong, positive impact on our body’s detoxification system, and researchers have recently identified one of the key reasons for this detox benefit and the top of it as mentioned makes a yummy snack!

Since I started juicing I’ve been experimenting and adding broccoli stalk to my juices, making the broccoli stretch that much further, as well as getting all the nutritional benefits. I would advise you not to add too much broccoli stalk the first time, as it has a distinctive taste that can be too overpowering and bitter in your juices. I like to mellow it out wth with the sweetness of pear and green pepper and love adding cucumbers as they are a good easy flavour mixer, as well as been great for your skin and digestive system. Cucumbers are also 95 percent water, so not only are they hydrating, but they help your juices go further and help you to eliminate toxins. This ‘Booster Juice’ is a really refreshing one to have in the morning, and also a good immune boosting juice for the inbetween seasons.

  • A handful of Parsley
  • A pinch of gratefulness

Green juices are pure medicine to our bodies, and are particularly beneficial for people who have digestive system issues. Juice is so easily absorbed by our bodies as juicing breaks down the cell walls of fruits and vegetables, so that they are pre-digested already and the nutrients are just used by our digestive system straight away .
