Juicing fruits and vegetables is such an excellent way to get the nutrients absorbed into your system (especially first thing in the morning) and if you’ve read my blog on ‘What’s with all the juicing hype’, you’ll know how much I love juicing. Its become part of my morning ritual and every juice I make is the best juice ever. If any of you are interested in juicing, I encourage you join in, feel and see the benefits of better skin and more energy. Your body, mind and soul will thank you for the jumpstart. Here’s a basic energising breakfast juice recipe, which is great staple in winter as the ingredients are simple and easy to find.
Wake me up before I go go (1 serve):
- 2 pears
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1 or 2 sticks of celery
- a handful of spinach/lettuce
- a small knob of ginger
- Optional power up – Chia seeds, ground flaxseeds, aloe vera, wheatgrass and some positive thoughts
Green juices are power-packed with nutrition, giving your body a boost of energy, keeping the good bacteria in your gut happy and your mind powered up for the day ahead.
