With the colder weather in the UK, my appetite seems to of increased, so I thought I would power up on yummy smoothies to curb my hunger. It’s taken me a while to add avocado to my smoothies, as I just love eating them alone and in salads, but wow does it make smoothies creamy! Now I’m an avocado smoothie convert and what a great way to add good fat and keep you feeling fuller for longer.
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 apple (core removed)
- 1 cup spinach
- 1/2 cup coconut water
- 1/2 almond milk
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1-2 Tbsp Chia seeds
- Positive thoughts – it will be the best smoothie ever!
- Protein powder
- Super green powders like wheatgrass, spirulina or chlorella
- If you need it to be sweeter add some honey or stevia
- 1 Tbsp Ground flaxseed
- 1 Tbsp Coconut oil
Put the liquid in first, so the blender blades can move freely. Then add your greens/fruit and finally add your super powders. Taste and if it’s not sweet enough add some honey or stevia. I hope this inspires you to get your green smoothie groove on, please leave me a comment if you like it!
