I am always saying make sure you eat all the colours of the rainbow straight from Mother Earth as whole foods grown naturally is more packed with goodness to build our bodies with. If you are a avid reader of my blog you will also know I love liquids too and drinking the colours of the rainbow is just as important to today I want to pull your attention to the colour ‘yellow’ and we will look at tumeric!

I’ve really been pushing myself outside my comfort zone by doing video’s but I feel it’s important to share this info to the world and inspire others to try something new, something that will help to get you healthy!

Back to turmeric, in this video I show you how easy it is to grow your own and the healing benefits of this plant are amazing. Turmeric is more than just a spice to add to curries, it’s also a age old medicinal healing herb and research is coming to light with just how many benefits this has to reduce inflammation in the body and may help ward off dementia and reduce your risk of cancer.

Curcumin is the active ingredient in turmeric and gives it a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, but to absorb the healing benefits of this there is another spice you can eat in combo with it to absorb curcumin 200% more… Watch the video and find out what it is!

To really feel the health benefits of turmeric you need to be having a small amount every day over a period of time as it’s natural plant medicine and I’ll be doing another video on how to make turmeric milk soon, but for now here’s one of my favourite juice turmeric shots/small juice as it packs a punch!

Turmeric elixir

  • Turmeric root
  • Ginger root
  • Green apple
  • Lemon
  • Black pepper

PS. Just be careful when using turmeric as it will stain your hands and everything yellow!
